The research and compilation of this Tree was started in 1970, as I had heard many stories that our ancestor was a Loyalist, but there was no documented proof! After many years of searching, proof was found, as you, the reader, will see in the following document.

Many thanks go to Ted & Glenna (nee Cathline), Jack for reformatting and assisting in updating the Tree, during the early years.

In the last few years, 2010-12 , Our 1st born, Norma Doreen Jacobson prior to her death, researched and updated many items, that will be entered as time permits. We owe her our gratitude for her hard work and dedication! Thanks Norma!

The website designing originally was done by Lorenzo Yenko, Photo Grapher, Website Designer, and Graphic Artist ! and recently updated it the way it is today! 11 June 2013 .

The Kochlin Armorial Bearings

This is a copy of the Coat of Arms that was sent to me by the Zivilstandsamt in Bern, Switzerland on the 14th of January, 1983. There were lines drawn pointing to the areas depicting the colours vert, or, argent, azurect, brun, bleu and rouge. I then employed a renowned artist by the name of Conyers Barker to paint the Coat of Arms according to the description sent.

  1. This is awesome. So cool to see all the information about our family and my ancestors origins. Im a 17 year old from Ontario,Canada and have recently taken an initiative to learn about my family’s history. I don’t know if the comments are still monitored on this website but I would love to help keep this website running and help out anyway I can.

    • Brydon:

It’s good that you’re taking an interest in your family linage. Unfortunately I’m a little slow at answering people’s comments. A bit of trouble logging into the website. Where about in Ontario is home? I’m in Barrie. Nice hearing from you.
